Time Flies When You're Alive

Today would have been my parents' 61st wedding anniversary.  I'm not sure if I should mention it to my mother when I get home from work tonight, or if I should let it go by unmentioned.  It's a tough call every year, but more so this year because in two days is the tenth anniversary of my father's death.

For over a month now, I've had the line, "Now, for ten years, we've been on our own," stuck in my head.  I here share with you the song from which I took that line:  Don McLean's "American Pie".
